The original ecosphere (Ecosferas ®) is the result of space research at NASA and is the first totally enclosed ecosystem, a world in miniature and full self-composed in a crystal ball. Easily manageable, an ecosphere is an element of learning that provides us with interesting information about life on our planet, as well as a demonstration of the technology for future space exploration.

The ecosystem is composed of shrimp, sea water filtered, algae, bacteria, gorgonian and gravel. This type of shrimp were chosen because they do not show aggressive behavior among themselves. The gorgonian, gravel and glass surface offered the ecosystem. These areas act as areas where agencies can be deposited.
